One of my friends told me that this book was awesome, and I kind of ignored her. Then I saw Beth Revis at AJC Decatur Book Festival. What a funny lady! It convinced me that I needed to read her book as soon as possible. Of course, that meant a few months down the road. I found the Audiobook, and decided to go that route. I was immediately drawn in by the actors' voices (for Elder and Amy) and how well the told the story. This has to be my favorite audiobook! Of course, the actors tell their side of the story a bit differently. You're going to get that in real life. Someone perceives voice inflections a bit differently. That, to me, was very interesting. I enjoyed the story as a whole. It had a great Sci-Fi feel to it. The blue goo! Ah, it was great. Beth talked about how fun it was to come up with all the Sci-Fi aspects of the book (at DBF). All of it was great, from the goo to the grav tubes to the holes in the walls that gave you food.I enjoyed the characters. Elder was just the greatest person ever. Amy was stern and didn't care what Eldest told her. Eldest was the grumpy old man. Great novel, great reading. Great experience!
